Infused Summer Drinks That Make You Smile

At District Cannabis, we’re not here for watered-down drinks or watered-down experiences. Summer is meant to be savored—long days, loud laughs, backyard parties, and those quiet moments where time finally slows down. So if you’re pouring something cold this season, make it count.

Infused drinks hit different. Tinctures let you dose with precision, ditch the smoke, and still catch the vibe. Whether you’re clocking out early or hosting a cookout that slides into kicking your feet up, we’ve got a few drink recipes that do more than refresh, they deliver.

First, let’s make our tincture-

All you need is good flower, strong booze, and a little patience. This is the original infused extract; simple, effective, and shelf-stable.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Decarb the bud: Preheat your oven to 230–240°F. Spread ground cannabis on a baking sheet and bake for 30–40 minutes to activate the THC.

  2. Mix it up: Let the decarbed bud cool, then place it in a glass jar with the alcohol. Seal tightly.

  3. Shake & wait: Store the jar in a cool, dark place. Shake it once or twice a day for at least 2–3 days—longer if you want a stronger tincture (up to a few weeks).

  4. Strain it: Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove all plant material. Store the liquid in a dropper bottle or small glass jar.

Use & Store:
Start low, 1–2 drops under the tongue or in food/drink. Store in a cool, dark place. Properly sealed, it lasts up to 18 months.

Lazy Summer Lemonade

Lemonade that hits back. Light, tart, and built for hammock days or dodging emails on your “day off.”

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ½ cup agave or honey
  • 1 mL District Cannabis tincture
  • Lemon slices & mint if you’re trying to impress

How To:

  1. Mix lemon juice, water, and sweetener.
  2. Add tincture—drop by drop—and stir like you mean it.
  3. Chill and serve over ice.

Heads Up: Label the pitcher. Not everyone needs that kind of lemonade.

Strawberry Highball Fizz

All the sparkle, none of the sugar crash. This one’s built for front porch stories and late-night playlists.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 can sparkling water
  • 0.5–1 mL tincture
  • Ice

How To:

  1. Muddle strawberries, sugar, and lime.
  2. Add ice and sparkling water.
  3. Stir in tincture. Garnish if you’re fancy.

Canna Colada

It’s a vacation in a glass. (Just without the TSA pat-down.)

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup ice
  • 0.5 mL tincture
  • Pineapple wedge (if you’re feeling extra)

How To:

  1. Blend it all up.
  2. Add tincture. Pulse once.
  3. Serve cold, sip slow.

Mint Marijito

All mint. No regret. For when you want to vibe without fallin’ out.

What You’ll Need:

  • 10 mint leaves
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Sparkling water
  • 0.25–0.5 mL tincture
  • Ice

How To:

  1. Muddle mint, lime, and sugar.
  2. Add ice, top with sparkling water, and stir in tincture.
  3. Sip, don’t chug.

A Few Pro Tips:

  • Start Low. ~10mg/mL = ~0.5mg per drop.
  • Mix Well. Oil-based tinctures need effort, not just a lazy swirl.
  • Keep It Separate. Infused pitchers aren’t for everyone. Label clearly. Respect the sesh.

You Don’t Need Alcohol to Catch a Buzz
Tinctures let you cut the booze, keep the edge, and dial in your ideal dose. That’s what we call responsible rebellion.
