Re: Arthritis

July 3rd, 2021

Q I have arthritis in my elbow from an old injury, what products would you recommend to help relieve inflammation and pain?

AIf you have inflammation from arthritis, generally a product with Cannabidiol (CBD) can be helpful to decrease the inflammation. For most joint pain a topical salve or gel would be least invasive and target the specific area. Adding Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) to the topical would provide added benefit of decreasing the pain signals to your brain (numbing). District Cannabis’s Extra Strength Gel has 200 mg of both CBD and THC. It’s deep penetrating formula works great for arthritic joints and muscle aches.

Re: Cooking with Cannabis

June 19th, 2021

Q I’d like to create some baked goods like: cookies, brownies, and rice crispy treats. What product would you suggest for cooking?

AGreat question. Baking with cannabis is much easier in a legal market than it used to be when trying to decarboxylate and dose plant material at home. District Cannabis offers 500mg THC, 1:1 and high CBD cannabis distillate and full spectrum cannabis oil (RSO) syringes which you can use to infuse any recipe that contains a fat. Easy math below! We have an infused honey too; dilution into a fat is not necessary here. Simply mix it into any recipe that calls for honey, and enjoy. 1.0ml syringe = 500mg; 0.1ml = 50mg Take your total number of pieces x desired potency and divide by 500mg (1 syringe) and the result will be how much of the syringe to use 25 cookies x 10mg = 250mg 250mg ÷ 500mg/ml = .5ml 25 cookies x 20mg = 500mg 500mg ÷ 500mg/ml = 1ml.

Re: Smoking Alternatives

April 19th, 2021

Q My doctor said I could try cannabis, but I do not want to smoke. Is there something else I could try?

Yes, thanks to modern extraction equipment, there are multiple medical options for consuming cannabis that do not involve smoking. One of the many options for patients just starting out is a cannabis tincture. District Cannabis tinctures are formulated with cannabis distillate diluted in MCT oil. These do not produce the harsh burn of a traditional alcohol tincture. You take this product by instilling drops of the oil under your tongue and holding it there for 30-60 seconds before swallowing. District Cannabis offers multiple other non-inhalable products that will provide a full body effect including lozenges, chocolates, chewable troches, capsules, topicals and rubs. Please see the PRODUCTS page for more info.
