Cocktail Hour: Cannabis Edition

It’s that time of year again when we all decide that it’s time to stop using alcohol to cope with our families, eat a vegetable that isn’t in casserole form, and have more than a single glass of water in a day… Dry January! Maybe you’re doing Dry January or maybe all your months are dry months, either way it gets really boring only drinking water all day and sometimes you want a fun drink to take the edge off. Luckily, infused tinctures are an incredibly easy way to infuse your beverages and give your lungs a break if you picked up a holiday cold. Whether you want a tropical drink to distract you from the cold, gray skies or a hot drink to warm you up and soothe a sore throat, we’ve got a recipe for you!

Strawberry-Ginger Lemonade:

Sweet, citrusy, with a little spice from the fresh ginger, this recipe is refreshing and a perfect after work treat. Recipe serves 2 but recipe will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days if you want to make more, the ginger syrup is a great addition to tea as well!

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 3-4 lemons)

Tropic of Canna

In the words of Frank Ocean, “Rollin marijuana- that’s a cheap vacation”, make this drink, sit in front of a space heater, and pretend like you’re in the tropics. It’s not quite the same as a beach vacation but it’s definitely something!

2oz orange juice

2 oz coconut cream

Juice of 1 lime

Sleepy Spritz

This drink is the perfect nightcap that will put you right to sleep as the cherry juice has naturally high concentrations of melatonin and tryptophan.
